Sending Artwork:
The Graphics Department is a Mac based Department capable of receiving art files via email or almost any
digital media format. Due to the specialized nature of our setup, it is important that art files be supplied to us in a format that
works with us. The following is a preferential guideline for art file type and transfer.
Which Format Is Right For Us?
We prefer EPS (Encapsulated PostScript): This is the most comprehensive file format used on Macs for most types of images (vector and
pixel-based). Files received in EPS or AI formats are generally ready for us to use, allowing us to maintain costs and lead time. Files received
as Bit Mapped Images (this includes TIFF, GIF, JPEG, and PCX) file formats
have limitations and generally require modification.
Files received in CAD (DWG, DXF, IGES, WMF, WPG, etc.) file types often
require conversion and/or redrawing at increased costs and lead time. Please
include the program and version used along with the operating system
(Windows or MAC). |
